I'm trying to save a bit of money again so thought i'd try these people out after using their week trial.
Seems ok so far. I'm based in UK and get max speeds so fingers crossed they work out. Saves my bill by 75% as i was with Giganews before so worth seeing if they work out.
Will keep you posted. |

Seems they don't really bother keeping good header storage so you have to go elsewhere for that or just use nzb search engines when to download items. They say headers take up too much space/bandwidth.
Not sure whether to stay with them or just keep them as a backup. I did signup for a year since they were so cheap so hope i can get my money back.
Other than that though if you need a cheap backup and are EU based then they seem fine for grabbing items using nzbs. Maxed out my connection fine with them and support seems good through the forums. Maybe connection is fine elsewhere too just they are based in .NL i think. You can try them out for a week for free.
I'm on Astraweb now using their $11 a month deal as the main provider. |

Well it's been a year with these people and they are fine. Had good speeds all the time and actually no downtime.
I think i'll switch to Astraweb though due to more retention and header issues as mentioned above.
Worth looking at though if you need someone to use. Maybe EU based only though. |

I use XLNed (Unlimited) and Astraweb (pay per dowload).
I download headers from Astraweb, (so I can get all I want) and I use it as backup server if some articles are not avaliable or they are too old...
My account of Astraweb was purchased on 2007 (90 GB) and I still have 8GB !!!
For me, it's is the perfect combination!!!
Regards.
PD.- I'm in Europa...
PD2.- At the present time, XLned has 220 days of retention and Astraweb 536 days... _________________ Hispanic causing panic! |

Hello,
Thanks for all the information. This is indeed a very nice forum and I would just like to say that just try out astraweb usenet service. I am sure you would be amazed with the offers they have and also the service is spectacular.
