In the Group Article setting, if I want to view an .NFO file, how is this done, when I expand the group, and double click it, it says there is no attachment. Thank you

Have you downloaded the .nfo first? Then it should appear in the message window.

To make this easier you can either use the "automatically download message when viewing" or I just double click to download the message to read it.

I have tried double click, but it doesn't open the .NFO file to view it. It said double clicking would download it then open it to view, but I can't get it to open it.

Are you sure it actually got downloaded? Open the message view pane and see what is displayed there when the message with the NFO file is selected.

Regards

There's also the small likelihood that it's a message with .NFO in the subject line, but there is no .NFO file attached or it's a blank file. You'd have to look at more than one message to check.

I doubled click on the .NFO and looked in the message view pane, and it said message could not be located in the database.

I checked in the downloaded folder and the .NFO file is there. NMP is just not showing it to me.

I got it working, I had thought that NMP would call the default viewer to open the .NFO, but you have to have the message viewing pane open to see it. Thanks everyone.

That's a different error (assuming you actually see a connection start and the message download from the double-click). Either your database needs repairing, or you need to update to the latest version - which version are you using? That sounds similar to a bug I vaguely remember from quite a few versions ago.

NMP automatically shows .NFO files in the message pane (as you've discovered). It won't send any files to the system defaults. If you want to use external programs for any file types (not just NFO), you can set them up from the "tools -> manage always launch filetypes" menu.

Hey thanks for that info, that's what I was looking for, it just called up my NFO viewer. Thank you
