The text/message pane is a bit broken, in that it's not showing quotes.

A message that gets viewed in the pane as:

Code:

When downloaded is actually:

No, it's not!

So it seems that any quotes are not being shown in the pane. I've seen it with loads of messages, so it's not just some particular messages. I'm not a hundred percent sure if it's the quote, or the ">" .

Must be something peculiar to the messages (not likely), or your setup. Here are two samples I opened just now:

Code:
I need to look for specific files on the C:\ drive to determine if this is
an upgrade to a pervious version installed by Wise Installer.

There is no registry entry that I can look for.

Can you point me to a sample code procedure to return True/False based on
the existance of a specific file?

Thanks

And the reply:

FileExists('X:\Path\To\File');

Be aware that not all systems actually have a C: drive.

I tried several others, even with many levels of quotes and saw all of them properly. I would suggest taking a look at your font colors for quoted text. Maybe you've set that to white on white?

I haven't touched the font colours, they are still at their default, and I have tried highlighting the messages. I've tried resetting the colours to the default. The quoted sections are just not there.

I've tried different groups and different posters, and the problem is always there. I know it used to work.

Edit: Duh! I had the "quoted text" button inactive. I didn't think this would have an effect on reading a message. Rolling Eyes
