Hi,

I have looked through Newsman Pro itself and searched the forums too but I couldn't find anything (unless I have overlooked the obvious which is entirely possible with me Very Happy ).....

Is it possible to set the bandwith limiter on/off by the time of day or MB downloaded?

Due to ISP's traffic shaping, bandwith management, or whatever else they want to call it when they throttle connections, it would be very useful to have an option to schedule the bandwith limiter into action.

My ISP at the moment throttles the connection between certain times of day if I go over a set amount of MB downloaded within that period. If Newsman Pro could set the bandwith limiter by time and/or once a certain amount of MB have been downloaded that would help immensely for when I am running over a long period unattended.

You can adjust the bandwidth meter using the Scheduler. Click "Scheduler" in the Navigator, then click the "New" button in the Scheduler view toolbar. Select "Set Bandwidth Limiter" and set the appropriate options. You'll need two schedules, one to set a limit and one to remove the limit.

Regards

Ah yes I see that now, that will help.

Having looked through again, I should be able to work out what I need to do (I have re-thought my original problem too)

Thanks for the quick reply. Newsman Pro and its support are the best out there.
