Could NMP be made to allow placement of Connection View & Quick Filter on same line as File-Edit-View-Tools-Help. This would make the tools space utilization more compact & yield at least another line in the Workspace view pane. I have a 16:9 monitor, and this would work for me.

Actually, yes. There is no way to get the original dock back by dragging after you move them both to the menu bar, however, as it essentially shrinks to zero pixels. But I can add a setting that will move them back and forth in code.
