Command-Line Options

To use any of these options, add them to your shortcut command-line separated by a space.

-logging
Enables logging for debugging purposes

-offline
Disables the download engine

-noparse
Disables the header storage process

-noqueueview
Disables the Queue list

-autostart
Releases all held jobs in the Queue on startup

-quitnow
When Newsman is shutdown, this bypasses the shutdown dialog and automatically selects "Shutdown Now"

-quitwhenidle
When Newsman is shutdown, this bypasses the shutdown dialog and automatically selects "When Queued jobs are complete"

-getnewheaders
Automatically retrieve new headers for every Workgroup on startup.

-minimize
Immediately after startup, Newsman Pro will minimize itself to the Taskbar or System Tray.

-autoquitwhenidle
This option automatically puts Newsman Pro in a ready shutdown state, waiting until the Queue is idle.

-purgeonexit
Automatically executes a PowerPurge when shutting down Newsman Pro.

-nomutexwarning
Disables the warning message when running multiple instances of Newsman Pro.
