Logs

Newsman saves communications between itself and each news server. To review these logs, select the Servers view and right-click on the desired server and select "Communications Log"...



The Event Log allows you to see what special processing events have occurred recently.


If Newsman has been running for awhile, you may not see events that
occurred that have scrolled off of the Event Log. As events are cleared from view, they are saved to a log file in the Newsman Pro application folder. These files are named "EventLogMMDDHHMM.log" and are erased at the beginning of every session.


Shows you if message attachments have been saved and where they were saved. This log is pruned when the related message is purged from the Trash.


The toolbar on this log contains the following options:

• Refresh - This view is only updated every time it is viewed. You can manually refresh it by clicking this button.
• Save - Saves the selected attachment.
• Delete - Allows you delete the source message and/or the saved attachment.
• Launch - Launches the saved file.
• Explore - Open Windows Explorer to the folder where the attachment was saved.
