Download headers as priority jobs - Tells Newsman to place header retrieval jobs at the top of the Queue automatically.

Always scan ALL headers when using Automation Rules - By default, Newsman Pro will include complete headers in Automation Rule scans once per day. Enabling this option will force Newsman Pro to scan all complete headers every time Automation Rules are executed.

Prompt to get new headers when opening a group - If enabled, Newsman Pro will ask if you want to get new headers whenever you open a Workgroup or newsgroup for browsing.

Global Expiration Setting - Tells Newsman Pro what to do with headers that have expired. Headers are considered expired when their article index numbers are lower than the lowest index available on the server.

Header Request Size - How many headers to request from the news server at a time. The higher the number, the higher the risk of timeout errors interfering with your header retrieval.

Header Batch Size - How many headers to batch together for processing by the header storage engine. If you store lots of headers (more than 3,000,000), you should consider lowering this value to 1,000.

Rollback when getting new headers - How many headers to go back every time new headers are retrieved. This can alleviate headers that are missed if you get new headers frequently.

Track "Missing" Headers - With this option enabled, Newsman Pro will keep track of "gaps" in the header article index sequences during header retrievals. The next time new headers are retrieved, these "missing" headers will be requested to see if they have propagated to your news server since the last time headers were retrieved.
