Prompt for database login on startup (MySQL and MS-SQL only) - When starting Newsman Pro using MySQL or MS-SQL, Newsman will prompt you for the login information.

Minimize to system tray - When Newsman is minimized and this option is enabled, an icon will appear in the system tray rather than the taskbar. You can optionally enter a password that must be entered in order to restore Newsman from the system tray.

Confirm on Exit - Prompts you when you attempt to close the program. Note that certain options available in the shutdown dialog will not be available if you disable this option (although you can use some command-line options to access them directly).

Show progress bars in the Queue - Paints a progress indicator in the "Status" column of the Queue while tasks are being processed. Disable them to save space.

Display rates in KB/s - By default, Newsman displays rates in kilobits per second (kb/s). Enabling this option will convert the rates to Kilobytes per second.

Retry Queued jobs with errors when idle - Forces Newsman to automatically retry any jobs that have errors once the Queue is idle. These jobs will be retried every 15 minutes until successful.

Reset Queued jobs with errors on startup - If enabled, Newsman Pro will automatically reset any jobs in the Queue that had errors the next time you restart the program.

Restore last view on startup - When starting Newsman, the last view you were in will be automatically displayed.

Show Gridlines - Displays a line separating each column and row in the various views. The "Auto" checkbox allows Newsman Pro to automatically select an appropriate color for your current color settings.

Show Stripes - Displays alternating rows in the selected "stripe" color. The "Auto" checkbox allows Newsman Pro to automatically select an appropriate color for your current color settings.

Show "Check Error Log" in status bar - Enables or disables a message in the status bar to check the error log in the event that an error is posted. This can be useful if you have the Navigator minimized or otherwise cannot see the "Error Log" entry in the Navigator.

"Flash" Error Log entry in Navigator on new errors - Flashes the error log item in the Navigator whenever there are new errors posted to the Error Log.

Low Disk Threshold - The threshold for Newsman Pro to use to detect that a drive is running low on disk space.

Stop activity if any disk falls below threshold - Forces Newsman Pro to stop all activity if the low disk threshold is reached on any disk that is used by Newsman Pro.

Menu and Toolbar Theme - Allows you to customize the look of Newsman.
