This feature allows you to change newsgroups, scroll through messages and skip to the next unread message by pressing the SPACE key or by clicking the middle mouse button. The implementation of the “single-key read” is described below:
From the Workgroups view:
Pressing the single-key read will open the selected workgroup if it contains unread messages and place the cursor on the first unread message in the list. If the currently selected Workgroup does not contain any unread messages, NewsMan will skip to the next Workgroup that contains unread messages and open it instead. If no Workgroups contain unread messages, the single-key read will do nothing.
From the Message List view:
Pressing the single-key read will open the first unread message that has been retrieved. If no messages have been retrieved, NewsMan will ask if you want to skip to the next Workgroup containing unread messages. Newsman will also ask if you want to skip to the next Workgroup containing unread messages when there are no more messages visible in the message list (due to deletion or filtering).
From the Message Viewer:
Pressing the single-key read will scroll through the displayed message. At the end of the message text, pressing the key again will skip to the next unread message in the current thread (retrieved or not). If there are no more messages in the current thread, you will be placed back into the Message List.
