There are several places in Newsman where you can access the header retrieval functions:

-=Get Header Options Explained=-
You'll notice that on most of the menu options, there are three different menu options for getting headers:
*__Get Headers__ - Displays the "Get Headers Dialog" (described below).
*__Get New Headers__ - Gets new headers for the selected Workgroup or newsgroup.
*__Get New Headers For...__ - Allows you to get new headers for multiple Workgroups at once.
-=Get Headers Dialog=-
This dialog allows you to get headers in different ways.

__New Headers__ - Headers posted since your last update.
__All Headers__ - All headers on the server. You will be prompted for how many days to keep.
__Last xxx headers__ - Retrieves the last number of headers you specify.
__Headers By Date__ - Retrieves all headers posted between two dates. Uses a very fast binary search algorithm to find the header closest to the specified dates.
__Range__ - Retrieves a range of headers for a particular newsgroup.
__Catchup__ - Does not retrieve any headers, but does set the pointer in Newsman to the most recently posted header. Useful when you want to catchup after being away for a long while.
Once you've done your initial header downloads, you'll most likely want to use the "Get New Headers" menu or toolbar option. This is a shortcut to the "Get New Headers" option on the above dialog.
